1981 Fire Department Expansion at Pewee Valley Town Hall
This photo series documents the construction of the three-bay garage addition to Town Hall built by the Pewee Valley Fire Department in the fall of 1981. The photos were probably taken by Peweean and well-known Louisville photographer Richard Duncan. It took PVFD's volunteer firefighters three months to complete the project. Work started in early September and was completed in early December.
Today, the Pewee Valley Fire Department has a modern station on Foley Avenue; the City of Pewee Valley owns the old Fire Department building adjoining Town Hall; and the bay directly beside Town Hall is home to the Pewee Valley Museum.
